It was Rosh Hashana afternoon, 1942, and as usual, the
Bochurim headed their way to the second floor of 770 where the Frierdiker
Rebbe’s apartment is, in order to be present at their Rebbe’s Yom Tov Seuda.
They waited at the door, expecting to be let in as usual.
But instead, a messenger from the Frierdiker Rebbe greeted them at the door
with a message from the the Frierdiker Rebbe:
"איצט איז די צייט צו
באמבארדירן ספירת המלכות מיט טויזענטער אותיות פון תהילים"
“Now is the time to bombard Hashem’s Kingship with
thousands of letters of Tehillim.”
Upon hearing the Friediker Rebbe’s message about the
importance of Tehillim on this day, the Bochurim ran back downstairs in 770,
grabbed Tehillims and just read the holy words of Tehillim for the rest of Rosh
Hashana, each Bochur as much as he was able to.

In our class, we too will follow the instructions from the
Frierdiker Rebbe and make sure to spend our time this Rosh Hashana is the best
possible way.
Every Talmid learned the letter which the Frierdiker Rebbe
addressed to us Talmidim, in which he emphasizes the importance of every second
of Rosh Hashana, that we should stay far away from any extra conversations
during these two days, rather spend our time on Tehillim.
After Rosh Hashana, we will calculate how much we
Bombarded the heavens this year with our Tehillim. Stay tuned for the inspiring
results.
