Winners of Mivtza Bombardiren

The second Mivtza of the year took off with great success.
If the head goes good, the rest off the body goes good. That's why every boy who participated in this Mivtza and spent his Rosh Hashono (Head of the year) in the best possible way, is an automatic winner for a great year to follow.
Additionally, there were raffles in which the boys won secondary prize.
In this photo you can see the boys with their different size pictures of the Rebbe that they won.
Avi Kapuler and Dovi Holtzman won a complete Mehudar Yanover Esrog with Lulav set from Mogilevsky's Esrogim.

Not More Than Four Trip - Rabbi Kramer's Class

On Thursday, Gimmel Sivan, Rabbi Kramer's class went on the trip titled "Not More Than Four".

The Talmidim visited a distillery in Brooklyn to witness the fascinating process of how Mashke is made, as well as how chocolate is made. Our tour guide was Jewish, and put on Tefillin for the first time in his life!

After the distillery and chocolate factory, we walked down the old streets, down to the water, looking for more attractions. A blacksmith took us into his factory, showing us how he shapes iron. We were also shown around a printing press.

After all that, we gathered back in Crown Heights for a Pizza supper.

At the Pizza supper, we watched videos about what goes on inside a person's body, how alcohol harms each part of the body respectively. We also watched a video about how the effects on the brain are much more serious and permanent when dealing with the developing brain under the age of 25.

The evening ended with the distribution and review of a special flyer regarding the Rebbe's strict Takono on Mashke, including many known and unknown important details about it.

Not More Than Four Trip - Rabbi Levin's Class

On Wednesday, Beis Sivan, Rabbi Levin's class went on the trip titled "Not More Than Four".

The Talmidim visited a distillery in Brooklyn to witness the fascinating process of how Mashke is made, as well as how chocolate is made.

"I never drink." Said Roger, our tour guide. "Even though I have access to the most expensive drinks, I won't take any of it into myself, because I know how it's made. I know everything about alcohol."

After the distillery and chocolate factory and visiting the water, we gathered back in Crown Heights for a Pizza supper.

At the Pizza supper, we watched videos about what goes on inside a person's body, how alcohol harms each part of the body respectively. We also watched a video about how the effects on the brain are much more serious and permanent when dealing with the developing brain under the age of 25.

Then we watched the video titled "L'Chaim!", a moving, sad story depicting what happened to an innocent Bochur and his younger brother, based on a true story. The video concluded with a message on the matter from Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski.

The evening ended with the distribution and review of a special flyer regarding the Rebbe's strict Takono on Mashke, including many known and unknown important details about it.

A Freilichen Sukkos

Yud Alef Nissan Mivtza

Yesterday we launched the latest campaign ("Mivtza"), a preperation for Yud Alef Nissan, the Rebbe's 113th birthday, titled "My Present to The Rebbe".
It is truly great to see the warm welcome the Talmidim had to the new campaign (as by every campaign so far, B"H), as that shows on their appreciation for self-improvement and higher purpose.

This, Baruch Hashem, marks our 8th Mivza so far this year with the Talmidim:
  1. Avinu Malkeinu (Elul)
  2. Bombardiren (Rosh Hashono)
  3. Bo Bayomim (Tishrei)
  4. Just Two Weeks (Cheshvan)
  5. Maccabee (Kislev-Teves)
  6. Hachono L'Yud Shvat (Teves-Shvat)
  7. Zeh Keili V'Anveihu (Shvat-Adar)
  8. My Present to The Rebbe (Current)
